Koi Magazine Readers Awards

Every year Koi Magazine runs it's annual readers awards. These awards are a once a year opportunity for all koi keepers and hobbyists to vote for the products, dealers, clubs and shows they feel deserve to be awarded the title of 'best of' in their category.

In 2008 when Koi Magazine first ran the reader awards, the Cambridgeshire Koi Club didn't even get a mention in the best club category with the award going deservedly to the East Midlands Koi Club (EMKC), disapointing, yes, but the club was in a period of redevelopment and growth and to be honest, we didn't expect to win.

In 2009 the award went to the Crouch Valley BKKS section but the CKC did at least get a mention as a highly commended club, at this point the club was still going through a strong period of growth and development and was starting to become a club that was being discussed.

We had high hopes for 2010, but as anyone that's ever voted in these awards will know, it doesn't matter what one individual thinks if it's not backed up by many others with the same opinion, to win any of the awards requires a strong belief from a large number of people.

It is therefore with great pride that we are pleased to have been awarded not one, but two 'Best of' awards in this years voting, gaining not only the Best Koi Club award but also, quite suprisingly, the Best Koi Show award.

We as a club would also like to pass on our congratulations to club members and major supporters of the club, Dave & Kate of Coastal Koi who took the award of Best Koi Dealer as well as one of our shows major sponsors, Koyoshi Premium Koi Foods for achieving second place in the Best Koi Food category only beaten Hikari, just proving that you don't need to break the bank to feed your koi a good quality food.
