The 2008 Photo Show saw a total of 88 entries (3 up from last year) from 10 exhibitors, with 11 of the 13 BKKS benching varieties being represented. The 2 varieties without entrants were Bekko and Hikari Utsuri (Mettalic Showa and Utsuri's including Kin Ki Utsuri, Kin Showa, Gin Showa, Gin Shiro and Kin Hi Utsuri) I wonder if we see any purchases made by club members this year to compete in the 2009 awards?

The winners prizes for this years competition were kindly donated by Tetra which resulted in this years winning entrants walking away with large bags of their Koi Excellance food, a prize that we're sure will be used well over the coming months to aid the growth and push some of those size one's up to size two for next years photo show.

Congratulations to Dave Pope who took the title of Grand Champion for the second year running with his fantastic Dainichi Kohaku, will any one challenage him in 2009? A special note must also be made for Matt & Lynette hall who took no less than 5 best in variety awards as well as 2 best in size, congratulations to you both.

Another interesting point was that of all our entrants not one received less than 50% of their koi being placed, however one entrant did stand out and that was Rob & Jan Jack who had all 4 of their entered koi placed in the awards, congratulations on a 100% acheivement.

Size 2 - 16” – 20”
Size 3 - 20” – 24”
Size 4 - Over 24”
